Shoot, I doubt Batum ever makes it over here. Wasnt he the one who averaged a whopping 5 ppg?

draft pundits are actually anticipating that batum will be decent in the nba, and are making the excuse that his stats prior to the draft were due to limited minutes and his age in the international game.
i don't buy it, i smell a bust.

Draft pundits also thought Gerald Green was going to be the next major superstar. They also thought Kwame Brown was the next dominant center.
To make things simple, I dont listen to draft pundits. Im with you Cuban, bust all the way. If Portland had held on to Arthur and Dorsey, they would have gotten an A++ from me, but with that trade, it went down to a C-.

reason i think kwame was bad cuz he went out of high school if he went to college for year or 2 his career would be that much different or maybe we woud find out in collgee that he actually not good you know what i mean??

I know where you are coming from, but I was really knocking the draft pundits, not Kwame so much.

I think what you do in college should be rated above everything else, performance-wise. That's why I dont like any foreign players, and i think guys like Kevin Love, MIchael Beasley, Mario Chalmers, Jason Thompson, and Brandon Rush will be very good pros. And its also why I think Anthony Randolph, JJ Hickson, Joe Alexander, and Derrick Rose wont live up to their respective expectations.

I dont think Alexander will live up to being an 8th pick, at least, not now with RJ there. Hickson might, but I think Darnell Jackson ends up being a better pick by the Cavs. Randolph is a bust, a guaranteed bust. And there is a solid chance Rose ends up being the third or 4th best player in the draft when its all said and done.

i agree with you on alexander man yea RJ kinda taking the show there rose might struggle first year like cp3 and d will but then he will breakout 2nd year unless some huge injury happenes or somting first year i think heel put up 12 points and 6 assists a game which is like cp3 and d will first years man and he does more then his stats show also you know if u saw him in college and stuff hes special athelete and is top 2 player in draft for sure beasley i think will be scorer whole career he is melo exactly his numbers gonna be very similiar to melos and roses numbers will be close to cp3's but may never be better or even but he a leader on the floor so bulls are on the rise man and omer asik will help them lot in 2-3 years

i agree with miege about college performance determining success on a higher level.
rose will be decent, but he will not be amazing. i don't even think he's the 3rd best guard in the draft. i honestly believe mayo, westbrook, bayless and possibly gordon will have better careers.
rose had 1 decent year at memphis, and he began to perform spectacularly toward the end of the season and the end of the touney. other than that, he was average at best. yes, he led the team that was #1 most of the season, but can anyone say that his stats stood out on any level? augustin's stats stood out a hell of a lot more, in a tougher conference and over a period of 2 seasons. augustin's stats his freshman season paralelled rose, and his sophomore season stats were superior. but he's not even mentioned among this draft's elite. why? it doesn't make sense.
the point is, you need to look at a players entire body of work. kobe SUCKED as a rookie, but has become one of, if not the best in the world. anyone can strike gold once, but never do it again. i think the fact that rose struggling in the rookie league says a lot about the fact that he didn't have great guard competition in his conference (with the exception of lofton), and he was an above average player in a below average league.

ok buddy if u saw rose you will know that he cant be bust he is one of fastest guys in nba on open floor and even if he gets worse stats then other guys dont mean they better then him even though those sucky guards wont ever have better stats then rose but beasley will be better scorer then rose whole career but still rose will have more successful career getting 12 assists game dont mean he better then all guards dude rose is never gonna get over 11 asisits per game in his carreer hell be close but he special talent which u dont get until every 5-10 years and i dont just say that all smart nba people do all analysts i do lot kids in leagues say same
