Minnesota Receives: Ricky Rubio (PG): $3,400,000 (2013)
Miami Receives: Roy Hibbert (C): $900,000 (2012)
Miami Accepts: I needed another center and had a plethora of PGs. It is no secret Dan has a man crush on Rubio. Dan get's reunited with his crush I get my Center. Win-Win!

Minnesota Accepts: RUBIO! RUBIO! RUBIO!
Wait? You want more than that? Ok. In short, this is roster balancing with good young talent. I was loaded at C (Gasol, Monroe, Hibbert, Pek and Val...who should come over seas next year) and at the PG spot only had Evans. Rubio is all about the assists and really, that is what I was looking for in my "#2" PG. Having a pass-first mentality PG on a fantasy roster is a lot like having a great shot blocker on the roster in my estimation. Locking down a category most weeks.
I rarely propose trades. But when I looked at the Miami roster, well, this one made too much sense not to propose the deal. Oh, and RUBIO! RUBIO! RUBIO!

2-0. I still can't believe I carried Rubio on my roster for 2 full seasons and then traded him just weeks before he'll finally play in the NBA. Now he ended up in Minnesota... big surprise.... Enjoy him. This is a totally fair trade right now, but in a few seasons I have a feeling we'll look back and think "what was Miami thinking? "
