1. There is a new rating system for the Free Agents. They have been placed in 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 star categories, as well as a "rest" category.
2. There will be a minimum bid amount for each category in terms of dollars, they are as follows:
5 STARS- $9,000,000+ @ 5 Years+
4 STARS- $6,000,000+ @ 4 Years+
3 STARS- $4,000,000+ @ 3 Years+
2 STARS- $2,000,000+ @ 2 Years+
1 STARS- $1,000,000+ @ 1 Years+
THE REST/UNDRAFTED ROOKIES- minimum ($500,000) @ 1 Years +
Also, the longest you can offer any one player is 6 years. Any contract offer over 6 years will be automatically denied.
3. SNIPING RULE- Any free agent that is signed may not be waived before the All-Star break. Only after the All-Star break is the team allowed to waive them. Anyone who breaks that rule will lose their first round pick for the next year, as well as have their cap reduced to $55,000,000 for the next 3.
4. If your bid puts you over the salary cap, then you will not be allowed to have that player, and you will face a penalty. Penalties will be determined by how much you go over the cap.
5. Only offers strucutred like the one in the example board are valid. Make sure you look at the example board so you can section them right.
6. If you are the first person to make a bid on a player, then start a new thread in the offers board. The thread should have the players full name on it.
7. After the first offer is made, that player will be on the board for 24 hours. If, after those 24 hours, no one else has bid on the player, then the highest bidder wins.
8. If the player is bid on during the 24 hours, he will be on the block for 24 hours after each bid. A team will win the player if they are the last to bid on them, and no one else bids for 24 hours.
9. After the first offer, all competing bids must increase by at least 0.1 points, if the first offer is below $1,000,000. Once any offer (whether it be the first offer, or any subsequent offer) reaches the threshhold of $1,000,000, all subsequent offers must increase by 0.5 points.
10. The most important rule! After you have won a player, add them to your roster as soon as you can! If that player is not added to your roster, he will be put back in the FA pool and will be able to be bid on again.
11. Only 10 players may be offered at a time. So, if there are 10 offers, and you want to offer someone new, you must wait until bidding ends on one of the players currently being offered.
12. You have 15 minutes to retract a bid. After that you better hope someone outbids you. If you delete a bid after the 15 minutes is up a Moderator will repost it for you.
