Clippers Get: #2 Pick - 2012 Draft Robin Lopez - $500,000 (2013) Brendan Haywood - $500,000 (2015) $1,000,000
Lakers Get: #5 Pick - 2012 Draft #7 Pick - 2012 Draft 1st Round Pick (VAN) - 2014 Draft
Clippers Accept. I just lost Howard, so this gets me a couple able bodied centers on the cheap to fill in. But the real prize is the #2 pick. Paired with the #3 pick I feel like I can transform my franchise for the long run.
I didn’t have the cap space to draft 3 lottery guys, so parlaying these two into a higher pick gets me a better player (hopefully) and is a better use of my limited space.

Lakers accept. Lopez and simply don't cut my expectations for production at center, so I might as well go clean and get rid of them to get a real center. It is disappointing for me to give up the #2 pick, but I am gambling the player I want will be there at #5 and the other player I want will be there at #7. This a deep draft, and two top picks should be better then the #2 pick. I know that I lack centers and there was only one great center prospect in the draft, but he is gone, but this deal makes my team more talented, and I can eventually trade that talent for a center. I also have three second round picks I can use, so I am looking forward to getting many contributors to my team this off-season. I also get a future 1st rounder, which helps make up for the loss of the #2 pick.

2-0
Also, mods, if you see a trade go down involving draft picks, would you be able to update the draft board when its approved? This week at work is a fucking zoo.
Much appreciated!
