Taking a chance on using a re-sign on Beasley who could potentially finally live up to his talents in Phoenix this year, or have a similar career as fellow basket case Blatche. Thus making this either a fair or a wasted re-sign with wasted money. For a player who averaged 11.5 ppg and 4.4 RPG last year Denver offers
$3Mill for 4 years = $3,000,000 (2016)

I think using a re-sign on Beasely is very questionable. I don't see Beasley getting a ton of minutes on the new team. Hell, Michael Redd probably will see more minutes then Beasley! So with this move being risky enough why add more money (money I don't think he's worth) just because his last contract (a rookie one I believe, right?) was worth that?
So Siddy if I was burning a valuable resign on Greg Oden two years ago, hoping he would make the comeback off his #1 Rookie Contract you would say I have to start at $4 Mil just because that's what he was making?! That's not how it is in the NBA and that's just crazy talk!
1-1 if you really wish to

Torn on this one. I still think Beasley has some potential to be a decent 12-5 guy. Is 12-5 worth more than $3M...Eh, I think it's about as low as you could have gone.

Its possible Beasley could see more opportunity in Phoenix. That's a toss up though, and using a re-sign on him is risky enough.
